NHL Parlay Picks & Predictions for Saturday at +1150 odds, 10/28

Saturday’s in the NHL generally means games all throughout the day; however, today has just one early afternoon game before the usual night slate. Even still, we have a solid 9 games on the ice, and we’re here to help you take advantage of them. We’re still within the first few weeks of the season, so it can be difficult to get a read on every team. That makes it even more enticing to find the best value possible, and all three legs of our NHL parlay picks today have plus-money odds.

Along with our NHL mega parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today’s action!

NHL Parlay Picks (10/28)

Flyers -1.5 (+140)

Kraken ML (+140)

Bruins -1.5 (+115)

Parlay odds +1150

Philadelphia Flyers -1.5 (+140) over Anaheim Ducks

We mentioned that there was just one early afternoon Game, so there’s no better place for your NHL parlay picks to start. It’s taking place in Philadelphia, and the Flyers have gotten off to a strong start to the season. Winning their season openers has actually been a staple of the franchise in recent years, but it’s gone further than that this season. Despite the low expectations, they’re fighting for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division, and today’s matchup is a great one for them to inch closer. One of the few teams with lower expectations than Philly is the Anaheim Ducks.

They just pulled off a shocking upset over the Boston Bruins, so this is the perfect let-down spot for them. It’s their third straight road Game in a stretch of four total road Games, and Flyers goaltender Carter Hart has been keeping far tougher opponents from finding the back of the net. Anaheim opened the season scoring more than 2 goals just once in their first 5 Games, and in the 2 meetings between these teams last season, Philly outscored them 9-3. Outside of a high draft pick, the Ducks did very little to improve their roster, so Philly’s puck line is the first of our NHL parlay picks.

Seattle Kraken ML (+140) over Florida Panthers

We’re going with a straight underdog as our second leg, and a road underdog at that. While that may cause hesitation, the Florida Panthers simply haven’t looked like the team that made the Stanley Cup Final last season. That is certainly in large part due to Anthony Stolarz being in net rather than Sergei Bobrovsky. In combination with the high-flying Florida offense we’ve gotten accustomed to not being on display, the Panthers have not impressed. Even in their recent win, they scored just 3 goals against the winless San Jose Sharks.

Admittedly, Seattle needs to improve from their opening week as well, but they began to do so with a road win over the Detroit Red Wings. That was par for the course, as the Kraken finished the 2022-23 season with the 7th-best road record in the NHL. One of those wins came in South Beach, as they took down the Panthers with relative ease in a 5-2 victory. You could always play it safe with the +1.5 puck line, but we’ll add to our NHL parlay picks with Seattle’s money line.

Boston Bruins -1.5 (+115) over Detroit Red Wings

Finally, we’re going to wrap things up with another puck line for an Eastern Conference team at home. The Bruins suffered their first defeat to the aforementioned Ducks, so this is their time to rebound. As for the Wings, they got off to an incredible 5-1-0 start to the season. However, it was the Seattle win we mentioned above that began to bring them back down to Earth. They’ve lost each of their last 2 Games, and those were both at home.

Now, they have to try and bounce back in TD Garden, which has proven to be one of the toughest arenas to play. Boston’s league-best 34-4-3 home record was historical, as was their season as a whole. There’s no denying that Detroit looks stronger with the addition of Alex DeBrincat, but they’re still a young team that doesn’t have the goaltending to match that of the Bruins’. For that reason, we expect Boston to take care of Business by winning by at least 2 goals.
